One owner-builder, one person in every role, and a faster build.
In 2024 an owner-builder in Toorak hired Milé to run their $10M home as the only manager on the job: project manager, site manager, contracts administrator and everything in between.
The three-level, 750 m² house went from slab to handover in 13 months. Jobs like it usually take 18 months to two years. With one person holding the budget, the programme, the site and the paperwork, there were no hand-offs and no waiting on someone else's answer, across 52 trade contracts.
That's when he saw it. One person in every role was more efficient than the usual split team, and the way of working could be taught.
On an owner-build, that one person is you. You already make the decisions. Learn how each role works and you can do what a builder's team does, because you are the team.
Milé turned that job into a way of building you can learn: the project manager's, the site manager's and the contracts administrator's work, taught in the order your house gets built. It's what the course teaches.
