Owner-Builder School ("we") runs courses from Melbourne, Victoria, on ownerbuilderschool.com.au. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

• What you tell us in our forms: your name, email, mobile, where you're building, and your answers about your project.
• Booking details when you schedule a call with us.
• Basic technical details: your IP address, browser, the page you arrived on, and where you came from, including ad campaign tags and ad click IDs.
• How you use the course pages: which parts you view, how far you scroll, what you click and which form steps you complete. We don't record what you type until you send the form.
• If you enrol: payment and attendance details.

Why we collect it

• To reply to you, work out whether the course suits your project, and run the course.
• To send you emails about the course or the resources you asked for. You can unsubscribe or ask us to stop at any time.
• To see which ads and pages work, so we spend less on ones that don't.

We don't sell your information.

Who helps us

We use these services to store and process your information. Some of them store data outside Australia, including in the United States.

• Supabase: our database, hosted in Sydney.
• Resend: sends our emails.
• Calendly: call bookings.
• Zoom: the live classes.
• Vercel: hosts this website.
• Google: measures how our Google ads perform, using cookies.
• Microsoft Clarity: records how visitors move through the course pages (scrolling, clicks and taps) so we can improve them. What you type into forms is hidden from these recordings.

How long we keep it

Only as long as we need it for the reasons above. Ask us and we'll delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it (for example, payment records).

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email mile@ownerbuilderschool.com.au. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, tell us first. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
